Something Special
For some of my followers, most of you would know that I’ve only been in the Philippines since May 1, 2009. That would mean that most of my friends, people I’ve grown to bond, grow and share something special with are miles away in Singapore.

It was at that moment when I got separated with all of my friends, leaders, and mentors that I’ve come to realize the real special powers of the internet and the mobile world. Even though we were miles apart, the internet brought us a bit nearer to each other. It still protected that something special within each of our relationship. It refrained us from being totally separated because it allowed us to still talk to each other and share our daily experiences through twitter, facebook, emails and skype. In addition, smart phones placed the internet in the palm of our hands, making it even easier to contact them. That’s why as much as possible, I’m always try to stay online in Facebook and I also make sure that I update my friends through twitter what’s happening in my life.
That’s why this season of Christmas, I think Globe’s current Christmas offer for Blackberries is what some would call God’s gift.
We all know the capabilities of the Blackberry to retain and even strengthen that something special within the relationships with our friends and families especially with social capabilities like access to twitter, facebook and their one of a kind Blackberry messenger. Blackberry phones also allows us to reply emails on the go which means that even as you’re waiting for the bus or for your cup of Starbucks coffee, you can just take it out, read your emails and afterwards reply to them!
It’s just amazing!
But there’s a drawback right? The cost. Especially in the current times where we are facing price increases for every commodity around us.
But like I said, Globe’s Blackberry Christmas Offer is really something special; God’s gift.

Imagine getting all those Blackberry capabilities for just P599 per month! I also couldn’t believe it when I heard of it on twitter and facebook. I was thinking whether this was one of those internet hoaxes. But it’s real! You’ll get a Blackberry Curve 8520 for FREE if you subscribe to the My Super Plan Unlisurf Combo plan 599 and this comes with unlimited mobile surfing!

Ain’t that something special?
It doesn’t end there! You can get a Blackberry Curve 9300 3G for FREE at UnliSurf Combo plan 999 which comes along with unlimited mobile surfing, P400 consumable amount and a freebie!

There’s also the Blackberry Curve 9360 for FREE at UnliSurf Combo Plan 1799 with unlimited mobile surfing, P1200 consumable amount and 3 FREEBIES!

And if you don’t really like those models, you can get the Blackberry Bold 9780 for FREE at UnliSurf Combo Plan 2499 with Unlimited mobile surfing, P1900 consumable amount and 5 FREEBIES!

For more info about their offers you can go to their website by clicking here.
I don’t know what else is special other than bringing your friends and families closer to you regardless of the distance. Globe does that and not only that, but they do it in a way that makes sure that it’s available to many. They connect people regardless of distance, and that’s what makes them something special.

Yes, I really miss my friends back in Singapore but I’m able to go through life as per normal and without regrets because even though we’re miles apart, we’re still connected. This is thanks to Globe.
You Da One Globe! Go lang ng Go! :D
Merry Christmas everyone! :D

Yup. That’s it. Just 17 items. It’s not that hard right? :))

I really love this shoot. The setting and the lighting were near perfect. I also experimented with a lot of camera settings for this shoot so I really learned a lot from this.
Super fun shoot as well. Justin was awesome as a model, he was super willing to do any pose that I tell him to do; it didn’t matter whether he had to touch moss and rusty pipes. Ryel was a superb help as well with the reflector and the lighting; wouldn’t have achieved so much without him. Thanks guys!
Till next time.
Know the facts before you judge
Most of the time, people judges another person from what they heard about him from another person. Is that even proper?
Solution: Get to know the person personally and understand why they do what they do. There’s always an underlying reason for people’s actions and others fail to go beyond what they see with their 2 eyes.

So today after hiking up Mt. Maculot, I decided to have a photoshoot with my Godson. He was really energetic and he moved so much. So in a way, I got trained in switching the camera settings really quickly. And I can say that I kinda improved.
Tell me what you guys think.

Short Nuvali Trip
Haven’t been doing anything much for the last 2 days of my summer vacation so I decided to go to Nuvali and try out my new 85mm f/1.8 lens. And I’m super in love with it.
So I’m going to name it. :D

Life Reevaluated
As I write this, my heart is pounding and I’m getting goosebumps all over.
An alert from my Macbook woke me up and I couldn’t believe the news that I saw in twitter. Heck, I even thought that the tweets about it was some kind of cyber prank which happened recently to Jacky Chan.

Antonello Joseph Sarte Perez or better known as AJ Perez, 18, died today, 12:20am, in a car accident while on the way back to Manila after a show in Dagupan. Apparently, the van he was on collided with a bus and he suffered multiple head injuries which led to his death even before getting to a hospital.
I’m shell shocked because I distinctly remember watching twitter and my wall was, at one moment, filled with his replies to people’s question. I also remember that his last tweet was that he was on the way back to Manila and he was thanking some people from Dagupan.
That was like only 5 hours ago.
Wow.
I don’t personally know AJ Perez but somehow I’m getting personally affected by his death. It was just so sudden and so unexpected. I suddenly thought about my life at the moment; reevaluated my life.
The unexpected passing of AJ Perez, made me think on the questions: what have I done in my life and have I done enough?
I think it’s affecting me personally because his passing have shown me that you really won’t know when you’re gonna go. One moment, I could be tweeting about an awesome party that I’ve been to and in the next hour I could be lying in hospital fighting for my life. It’s just so unpredictable.
And it’s that unpredictability that makes me think how I have been living my life. Have I contributed enough in society? Have I been responsible enough? Have I been significant in the lives of others? Have I fulfilled my responsibilities? Am I satisfied in life at the moment? Am I doing enough? Who am I going to be remembered as if I’m taken away right now?
All these questions are running through my mind right now. It’s 4:30am and I can’t seem to fall back to sleep with all these thoughts running through my mind.
It was such a shocking loss but of course, a sad one at that.
He was only 18 and he had everything going for him. He just graduated from La Salle Greenhills and was going on to De La Salle University - Manila. He had a budding career as an actor. He was a great dancer, performer and actor. He was a brother. He was a son.
It’s just all so sad.
The passing of a fellow Lasallian.
I’d like to give my condolences to AJ Perez’s family.
RIP AJ Perez.
I Want to Teach
Have you ever experienced a time when you’re about to sleep then something hits you and you just have to write it down because you might forget it?
Yup. This is one of those times.
It just hit me. I really want to teach. I can’t wait to graduate and actually pursue a teaching career. I’ve always knew that being a teacher was my calling. I just really love doing it. But some would ask “why?”.
Up to this point in my life, for those who have been with me, some will know that my resume has been built up as one that is suitable for a management career; with all the things I’ve managed and lead. It’s certainly not one for a career in teaching.
I feel that I just enjoy teaching. I’ve hosted numerous workshops and I’ve always come out of it really fulfilled. To be able to connect with those youths and influence them. I think that’s the main reason.

I’ve always believed that youths are the future and that the future is made in the now. So if we look at that logic, it means that we have to invest on the youths; to create “informed minds” and “informed hearts”. It is through this creation that these people will be able to manage life with their character still in tact.
I want to be able to do that. To give the best years of my life to help influence these youths to greatness. To be that someone who can be their second parent and give them sound advices. To be able to share with them the knowledge and experience that I’ve garnered over the years.
Maybe that’s why being a Lasallian Brother is a not-so-far-off thing at the moment for me.

But the bottom line of it all is the influence to save that which is lost or may be lost.
